"QWERTY" has nothing specifically to do with PCs - it simply describes the commonest English language layout of the keys.
"QWERTY" says absolutely nothing whatsoever about the workings of the keyboard; it doesn't even imply an electronic keyboard - let alone a particular interface!

The "QWERTY" layout was patented by Christopher Sholes in 1868 - long before the PC! It is well-established in many non-PC applications.

Not all PC keyboards have a "QWERTY" layout; eg, the French have "AZERTY", and then there's Djorak, etc...

Again, not all PC keyboards have a PS/2 interface - USB is common these days.
