#105440 - You are poinlessly upset Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You are missing the point: Neither Andy nor Vignesh were wrong. Andy, a senior professional was being more thorough. Vignesh being a beginner/ student himself was trying to help another beginner/ student. Andy himself has said he was not offended by Vignesh remark.
After all this, it you who is getting upset, using unnecessary crude language. Abhishek Singh explained it quite politely in another SMS posting. Since I am 43years old and still guiding student projects, I have not forgotten how overeager, insensitive/ immature students can be. So probably I have a higher tolerance threshold. Realize that unlike an "across the table" interaction, a forum is quite impersonal, so a lot of non verbal communication guidelines are not obvious to a beginner. And about age, happens all the time. Remember the anecdote about American kids not knowing what clockwise means, because nearly all watches are now digital? So you need not ask the age of the OP, you can be professional like Andy. Or simply ignore the post and let other beginners like Vignesh help out, just like in college/ university what a TA does for the professor. |
