So yes new stuff contains old parts. Many even have discontinued parts. Just buy a few years worth when you get the end of life notice.
but newly designed stuff does not.

I am doing a small job for someone who finally had to redesign something he is selling that was designed in 1992. The equipment works, so why incur the redesign costs. Now, even the "partminers" are running out of one of the components and new desires fron the customers (internet connectivity etc) are popping up and a new design is taking place,
