Veena, I think you may be totally lost in confusion. Look at the code you have posted - how is that controlling a RTC chip connected to i2c? It looks like it is initialising an internal timer - theres no i2c stuff I can see.
As for defining the registers, have you not read the manual for your compiler? firstly, you need to get code to do i2c master, then you can look at talking to the i2c RTC chip. The Dallas data tells you all you need to know - you just need to understand it. Please do some research and read carefully then make o list of items you don't understand. We may be then able to help. It is best if you understand how it all works rather than just paste some magic code in and hope it works - if something does not work properly then you are none the wiser. |
