Geesh Erik - I know very well that the No Touch must be implemented first. I said "Once I get more familiar with this new chip I'll put Erik's famous "No Touch" backdoor ISP entry or UART break condition into the code. " To add your No Touch feature requires knowledge of the IAP instructions for this micro - which I have not yet taken the time to learn. Since the data sheet makes it clear that this micro can be put back into ISP mode using just the reset line I didn't bother. Since the 3 pulse method requires access to the reset line, I was planning to add the No Touch feature or UART break feature (which seems almost identical no No Touch) later for convenience so as not to have to bring the reset line out of the hardware. I will look at JG's excellent suggestion to check the rise times of Vdd and the reset line. Regards, Bert |
