What's meant here, I believe, is that you should go out and BUY a "wedge" adapter, which is just a cable and socket adapter, and introduce your "control" signals there in accordance with the PS/2 port protocol. If you Google on PS/2 Wedge you'll find plenty of information, not all of which, of course, will be useful.
