uC is at89s8252 running on 12 MHz XTAL, and there is optocoupler between. I wached signals with osciloscope and midi messages reachs the RX pin on uC, bytes are received but not correctly.

What is the optocoupler and the surrounding circuit (resistors)?
How did the pulses look like on the oscilloscope?
What about trying a simple "loopback" on the serial, such as in Jon Ledbetter's http://www.8052.com/users/jonled/RS232gd.pdf .
