#121245 - I'm an ASM Guru but
Responding to: ???'s previous message
from my point of view you have to be a C Guru too. Most of the time its not my choice, the customer decides what you (I) have to use otherwise someone else will get the job.

So what is better C or ASM. Thats the wrong question, both can be good, both can be bad it depends on you.

>>> C is a very powerful tool, but it takes years to learn how to use it properly <<<

I agree 100% and you have to know the architecture of the MCU quite well to understand why your ported code is not working as expected.

Back to your question: If you search inside the device database on the Keil Website you will find more then 700 different 8x51 members. Whats the reason for that, ask yourself.

So start to learn 8x51 and then go for your next device what ever it is.
