This port is bidirectional in most ways. Calling it quasi-bidirectional is the problem.
If you examine it from the way in which it is used, it's easier to understand how it works. If you use it as a bidirectional data port, e.g. as in interfacing external memory or I/O hardware, it is simply bidirectional. However, it differs from P1 and P2 in the way in which it drives its output, so that's what you have to consider when you use it simply as a port. RE |
