#122703 - you need the speed Responding to: ???'s previous message |
200x24 LED Matrix. (my largest sign) you need the speed. If the matrix is multiplexed, I am not sure even a 1 clock 100MHz will do for scrolling that size.
Use the SILabs f12x/f13x they will take care of it. As to ISP, the SILabs chips are JTAG programmable, the adapter is, I think $69, but that would be silly, you get the adapter, cables and a developement board for just a few bucks more. The SILabs chips with JTAG has and added advantage: you get ICE functionality which makes debugging so much easire. And since I don't have a surface mount soldering iron, it needs to be in a PLCC package. Learn to solder them, many chips disappear from the PLCC/DIP world as ROHS becomes the standard. Erik Erik |
