#122704 - sc rolling LEDs Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It not fast enough. The datasheet says it will run at 30 Mhz in x2 mode. So I am already overclocking. Atmel does not have any other fasters chips in the PLCC 42 ot 52 package.
Have you elaborated the reason of "It not fast enough"? Perhaps code optimization and re-structuring of algorithms help or what? It all depends. If you can build a 'double length bitmap' you can get by with a relatively modest speed uC for scroll (IF MONOCHROMATIC) but to design for mono would must likely be a lost effort since the requirement for color is likely to come 'tomorrow' YES, if you want a monochromatic sign with no features but "display Hello World" It can be designed with an old mule but 'feture demand' has made a racehorse required.
