#12345 - New Laptops and compilers, etc. |
It seems that most of the engineering software for the 8051 was written around Windows 98. One normally also needs a serial port on the computer.
However, it seems that the computer makers and sellers no longer provide Windows 98 or serial ports on the laptops. First question: Anyone running Keil, etc. under MS ME or MS 2000 ? Second question: How did you handle the serial port? Thanks, Stan |
