#12367 - RE: Cygnal Vs. other product
Hi Maziar,

if the code size was meaningful, then the Atmel T89C51RD2 (64kB Flash) should be good.

Also larger projects can be divided into using some cheap micros.
E.g. I use 6 AT89C2051 in a project, which former realized with a big Motorola CPU.
This give me also big cost saving, since 5 modules must be controlled over optical insulation. Now I need only 2 expensive high voltage opto couplers for every module in opposition needing 5 per module using a single micro.

So a former large project was replaced by 6 small modules with many cost saving.
Aditional the reliabilty grows, since any CPU have only to do small tasks and can not influence the other modules.
