#124717 - inexpensive? horrible? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
HORRIBLE SILabs local variable problem
if a 'problem' that small is 'horrible' you must lead a blessed life. A new inexpensive "ICE" ... just remember to set your watch back 10 years before using it. ;-( Inexpensive?, it's free. I do not particularily like free stuff (in a professional setting) because you have no right to demand a problem fixed. Anyhow, the naming convention I suggested in my original post takes care of it AND I just now recall another reason I use it. Using CodeWright you can do a global search and get a list of occurances - ever tried to do that with a 'typical' program on e.g. 'index'? There is, of course the local search as well, but that is 'a search' and stop at every place. Sometimes it is nice to get all uses of a variable in a 1000 line function listed and there the naming convention is really valuable by limiting the occurances to what you actually are looking for. Again, this is what I do, you can (and will - I'm sure) do what you want. Erik |
