Probably your best bet is to get a standard 'C' textbook, and learn the language on a PC.
Once you have learned the language, then you can learn how to apply it to microcontrollers. This is where the compiler manuals can help you. As you say you're already familiar with assembler, you shouldn't have any problems with understnading the 8051 architecture... Search this forum for the many previous recommendations on "C programming", "C books", etc... |
