#128008 - Crystal oscillations stop in P89C51RD2 |
Hello all,
I am facing a strange problem. I am using Philips P89C51RD2BN with 11.0592MHz crystal and 33pF Ceamic capacitors connected in the standard way. Other components on the kit include HIN232, ADC MCP3208. The problem is the crystal stops oscillating after a few seconds after power on. Then after keeping it off for some time, if you power it on, it won't still work. It starts working only after keeping it off for a little more time.. Is it related to any capacitor (especially the 232 capacitors)? What should be the correct value for load capacitance for crystals? I tried changing the crystal but didn't work. In my opinion, the problem is related to hardware only since even after RESET, the condition doesn't change. Any help please? Thanks a lot!!!! |
