I see no problem in posting hand-drawn schematics, as long as you are able to convert it into electronic form - using a scanner or a fairly-high-resolution digital camera. Just don't use jpeg/jpg for this form of picture; gif or better png are more appropriate formats.

A picture of your actual hardware might come handy, too; we could possibly spot some problem there.
