This appnote for A/D design http://www.linear.com/pc/downlo...1037,D4160 describes the effect of two inches of trace to the decoupling capacitor on an A/D. For those with an adversity to reading, it DOES have pictures. I know this thread is not about a/d, bit the pictures is the only illustration I know of the effects of 'decoupling' with traces not as short as possible. you are an design engineer, you must know what is the power supply decoupling I was about to writ something about misapplied titles, then I double checked and Abhishek, you are wrong, the title is "Software Developer". So, Priyanka, put those capacitors on, just take our word for it. If you were a "Hardware Developer", you would know that a wire from a to b is not an 'absolute'; connection. Erik |
