'51s have a peculiar port structure, which is a compromise as they work as quasibidirectional (input and output without need to configure them). Besides "static" characteristic points which you have from the datasheet, you might be interested also in the details of working - look at chapter 2.5 in doc4316.pdf (which is one of Atmel's version of "the bible").
For example, the datasheet says something about uAs of output current in 1, which is not completely true for the few moments after writing 1 into the port... JW |
