#131365 - Simulator vs Emulator Responding to: ???'s previous message |
An Emulator is a piece of Hardware that emulates the processor in the target system. (Some can also work without the target system).
A Simulator is a piece of Software that simulates the processor in the absence of any target system. A Simulator runs entirely on some "host" system; eg, a PC. |
