Thanks. I double checked and it is correct. Just a typo I made in the message board here when I copied it. As for the watchdog, it isn't enabled by default (according to the Atmel datasheet). I will double check this with my FAE shortly. My concern is that it works when compiled with a different compiler, so I'm pretty sure there isn't a bug in either the chip or documentation on their part. For the XRAM part, there isn't any initialization needed to enable it. Its available at reset.
