Per might not be able to use checksumming/parity or other kind of error detection/correction if he plans to use hardwired I2C devices.
if you can't checksum .. read twice and compare. I would venture that for on board IIC devices you might very well get by without any checksumming or 'double read' but for off the board I would use "belt, suspenders and a piece of rope" Erik |
