The moment the scope problem is placed onto the crystal, then the speed ramps up to normal and stays there. So, looking at ALE line rather, I discover that it is not actually running at any specific stable speed, but rather, seems to be coming in and out at about 700khz. The pulse width varies and is very unstable. Seems as though the oscillator is simply not able to start. |
