#135822 - An interesting article... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Although I don't use this particular flavor of the 8051, I do use the uPSD and ST published an interesting article on crystal design that was helpful to me.
It turns out to get the third overtone from a crystal, some inductance is necessary. This may be what's happening when you touch the crystal, or use a scope probe... Try reading this PDF file, and see if it helps you out: http://www.st.com/stonline/.../10105.htm Best of luck, -db |
