Hi Ed,
I usually just use one. In fact, if the various functions need synchronization this is pretty much necessary. Even if the various functions are independant, completely asynchronous, unless there is a need (e.g. if both require different clock frequencies and multiplying/dividing would be too burdonsome) I still only use one oscillator.
