#135935 - does the 82xx thingy have 4 UARTS? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I had looked up the 16c550... problem is two fold its a 40pin DIP v/s a 28 pin 8251 so size was a bit of a problem and also it costs much more than the 8251 !!!
does the 82xx thingy have 4 UARTS? the NXP 40 pin UARTS do i tried to find a datasheet for your antique but could not, give a link. if this is professional stuff stay away from 82xx, if you are just having fun, do what you want. Erik |
