#13659 - RE: Electronics Corner: |
AS a newbie (EE Junior) at my first internship being plopped into a project and still not 100% understanding all the basic schematics, whether it be because only working on a simulator or predesigned board. I can certainly see the value of such a message forum.
I am sure almost everyone remembers when they first started and all the questions that most of you now consider basic. But, when your new the busline being one large arrow going to the chip isnt explanation enough and we are intimidated because of the fact we dont want to seem stupid or its somthing that we didnt learn because of the lack of coverage or maybe in certain cases the book that we bought doesnt go into greater detail. I am more of a fan that the only "stupid" question is the one left unasked. I am very thankful to all who have taken the time to answer all of my questions no matter how basic. I personally think the site is wonderful in the willingnes of the "gurus" helping the newbies. My one suggestion would be to include also a newbie forum with a couple of volunteer moderators. So the intimidated dont feel that way. I do see that most of the posts that the subject is way out of my league. I have gone thru the FAQ and used the search and found the answers to the majority of all my questions. But sometimes it takes just one comment for the lightbulb to turn on. As to the segregation of different forums electronics verses 8052, I really think that the people who constantly visit the site will visit both and are just seeking to organize a little. Thank you again, Brian |
