Is anyone there using Siemens' encoder 6FX2001-5FS12 or similar (absolut position encoder, position encoded in 12-bits Gray code, RS485 interface) in your own application?
I have built interface between 8051 cpu and encoder using SN75165 chips. But as the result of working I get 0 or 1FFF after 180 degree.
I need only hardware interface schematic to ensure that I have connected encoder to my system in the proper way (or something is wrong...).

I will be gratefull for any advice.
