I don't think that's necessarily true.

He appears to be assuming that everyone has read and remembers all his previous posts without any need for him to specifically reference them.

I guess that the "registers" he's talking about are actually in his RTC - which happens to be mapped into XDATA space...



nor has he given any indication that he recognizes there's a difference between internal data memory and XDATA memory.

Well, he has shown that he knows that XDATA has 16-bit addresses, and uses the A0-A15 address lines:
