Unfortunately, there are numerous different types of "nails."

Methinks that 'C' lulls the user into invalid assumptions, or, at least, into ignoring differences between MCU's.

That's actually the purpose behind using HLL's, and that's why they shouldn't be used ... not at all ... by people who haven't yet written the obligatory 5E9 lines of ASM for THAT PARTICULAR MCU.
