Many of the new generation flash parts have the ability for the program code to reprogram the flash memory. ....You would normally have a 'bootloader' which is enough code to download a new application.
If you choose the right part (P89V51... and FlashMagic comes to mind as does P89LPC3xx and NoTouch) it comes with 'the bootloader' already there. Erik |
