#140599 - Prototype Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Klass,
I have built 3prototypes and all of them have same problem. Some had small circuit problems which were rectified. But this Mother of problems. How can you believe that the code which works in other project doesnt work in another? Also I find that about 4-5 ADC chips I have give same results even after modifying code. I have now modified so that all 4bits go in a row instead of first setting up start bit. The output of IC shows that it is giving proper results otherwise I would have got output code 1bit shifted to left means double. What is most worrying thing is that these ADCs are quite costly here. Abt $3 or Rs.125/ each and they go phut just like that if they get some misreading bit of Single ended or differential. Moreover I find that problem doesnt go away with powering off as I thought but with that small mistake the ADC gets "programmed" to be differntial type for rest of the life ! Now I swear that I will never touch these 2channel ADCs unless they have external selector pins.Microchip doesnt say about this and they must be happy with lots of chips getting destroyed this way and they have sales boost ! If any of you have a code that works on these 2channel ADCs any time, kindly post it. Thanks in advance, psd |
