#142932 - A little ambitious? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

i have basic knowledge in fpga based development, so i want to design the 8051 core I think that would require somewhat more than just "basic" knowledge in FPGA based development! It would also require an understanding of processor design in general, and a detailed understanding of the 8051 architecture in particular. Maybe you should start with something a little simpler first? There are several open-source HDL models of the 8051 - try studying them. There's been discussion here too - use the 'Search' I think Jez Smith might have put something in the Code Library - check it out (see the buttons down the left-hand side) |
