The quesiton is, is it a good idea to use this DS1721 if I am already planning on using an LCD screen? I mean, from what I think I understand, the controller of the LCD screen (the 8501) can be used to read temperature also.. So this would simplify my circuit, and be more cost effective if I only needed one chip to do everything.
But, perhaps I am mistaken? -patrick |
