#144982 - Two questions/suggestions Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Tulasi,
First, I have not verified your pin assignment description, so these may or may not be the only issues you need to address. First, did you include pull up resistors on the Port 0 pins? Second, from your desscription it sounds like you are not using a reset supervisor. In not, unplug your power and add one before continuing. I know, I know! The manufacturer's data sheet says all you need is a capacitor or a resistor or some such nonsense. The short answer is they lied. If you do not use a reset supervisor, you will not get a reliable bootup sequence. I expect you're arguing with me right now, as you read this. Okay, fine. Do a search here on 8052.com for "reset supervisor" and read. Then do what you like. Good luck, Joe |
