... and try to figure out what the OP wanted to ask - which, being a newbie, might not be able to ask - I suppose, the question was: I have an old program (an example perhaps), which uses P3.7 as a general purpose input (output) pin (e.g. for LED blinkey). Now, I want to interface 8255 to 8051, and write a similar program, but this time, instead of P3.7, I want to use an input (output) pin of 8255.
