No, that is the voltage supplied (from the 'lousy' reference) the input to ADC1 is 'reading the reference' the input to ADC0 is the measurement. You should have been able to figure that one out.

Opposite tempcos its meant that one resistance with 100 ppm/°C and other say 20ppm/°C .But the two never being same ,does that has to be done delibrately ?.
if you put 1k +100 ppm/°C in series with 5k -20ppm/°C you end up with no temperature dependence.
