Hi,
I am looking for a low cost 8051 part that has an internal EEPROM (256 bytes), 16K Flash program memory, a 4 channel 10 bit A/D and UART.

The completion for a similar product uses ATMEGA128 available for about $3.50 for 1000 quantities. My colleagues are asking me to use the same.

I have always been a loyal 8051 based micro controller user and I hate to have to learn all about a new processor and set up new st of tools.

Do you guys know of any 8051 based part that I can consider at a similar cost and features?

Thanks
-Nathan

Cost comparision is a big issue . Dont let holiness take over the business .The specs you quote reminds me of C8051F206( 3.0$ i guess) , internal eeprom I am not sure . Of course you can have a look at nxp site for plenty of goodies , BUT Atmega128 surely is a tough competitior in performance and mind boggler , when it comes to CPU selection. We use both Cygnal and Atmegas.
