I have always been a loyal 8051 based micro controller user and I hate to have to learn all about a new processor and set up new st of tools. While it can be a pain to use a micro controller there are some benefits. It is always good to add experince with another micro controller to your "tool box" so that if you really do need to use one if the future you feel comfortable with doing so. Expanding your digital horizons can be well worth the effort. Perhaps this isn't the time to do so, as using a new product has a learning curve and your timeline is already crowded but don't discount using a part just because you have never used it before. |
