#154602 - true.....but at this point.......
Responding to: ???'s previous message
why bother.....LOL.

My project scope is a lot larger than to do a complete perfect naming convention......I still have to relay the board for revision 2 in which this whole function has to be written. I am interfacing with an existing MPU and it has been a long arduous road to get here. So the RS232 is part of the 'bypass link' to the slave device under control and overall reducing latency time from user input to system response.

Maybe, just maybe, if I ever get "a break", I'll go back and deal with it.....but right now.....I just need to get from point A to D and name falls under point Z in the scope of the project.....:)

                                 Faster? Probably not.            01/01/70 00:00
               What's in a name?            01/01/70 00:00

You guys are completely right,            01/01/70 00:00
the very simple way to (almost) do it right            01/01/70 00:00
For the sake of learning            01/01/70 00:00
                              Good point            01/01/70 00:00
