I have a design idea that I have been very unsuccessful in gaining some basic information before delving further.

As many are probably aware of, a palm pilot's IR port can sync up to a PC equiped IRDA port. With the proper software running on the PC, pressing a button on the palm initiates a "sync" and all data is synced up.

In my application, my device will need to act as the PC. In other words, to the palm, my device needs to respond to the ir hotsync request as the PC would.

Has anyone developed anything like this? Any links, code, information? Also, besides irda.org and these forums, are there any good bits of information on irda out there ?
