#156747 - Maybe a better starting point is.... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Maybe a better starting place here is for _you_ to evaluate where you think that problems could arise in your working setup, on your development platform and within areas where you have inexperience. This type of evaluation would allow you to ask specific questions about things that you are not familiar with.
The 96W of available power will not just rush off into your circuit with free will unless _you_ provide the paths and means to allow it!! So check carefully for shorts, components that are installed incorrectly and so forth. Keep also in mind that power often ends up as heat in a circuit and so you must use caution to prevent concentration of too much power draw into areas or components that are not prepared to deal with the heat. IE, use big enough wires/traces, don't try to put 5W into a 0.1W resistor, use a heat sink where required and above all avoid shorts. Michael Karas |
