I had the similar problem with my P89C51RD2HBP parts.You may try any of the following to overcome the problem you are facing... 1. Connect the device in ISP mode( PSEN=0, ) 2. Connect to your PC and run Hyperterminal or equivalent. 3. Send an UPERCASE "U" to the device. 4. Send a string like :020000050001F8 which is read signature bytes for the device. 5. You should get some return string like "." or the signature bytes from the device. If these happen then you can connect to Flash magic and try to address the device......... Note : If you Serial port on the board does not support tru R2S232 signals then it may not work with Falsh Magic, Using MAX232 will normally solve this problem. Hope this helps... RAVI |
