you haven't connected EA pin (pin 31) to Vcc, Asim khan's Circuit shows a 1K resistor between Vcc and pin 31.


before senior members(Mr.Erik)start pouncing on me, let me declare that i know the function of EA/Vpp pin when the Micro is in execution mode and parallel programming mode.
