#159377 - observations till 2 pm IST
Responding to: ???'s previous message
OBSERVATIONS UNTILL NOW ARE,

1> I2C routines are working fine with DS1307 at 86k bitrate, but not with 24c16
2> After reducing the bitrate (to 25k, oscilloscope says 24.23k) also outcome is same
3> SCL & SDA are checked using oscillosope. Waveforms were fine during write(writing with fix no 0x55), but while reading can only see ACK sent by MCU(rest of the times SDA is held HIGH.
4> Values on reading are sent on UART for checking, all found to be 0xFF
5> Pins A0, A1, A2 & WP are at GND potential, SCL & SDA are showing waveforms, Supply pin is also recieving 5.2V (pdf says 2.7 to 5.5V)
6> Changed EEPROM IC, used another at24c16 still having same problem. Even used at24c04 but has same problem.
7> Value of S1CON is also monitored & found ok.

Regards,
Mahesh
