The problem is that you wrote:

It can be assumed that the mediating people add to the price, and that you are cost concious.

But then you continue with (my emphasis):
They have a Modem for as low as $350 .

They may manage to go all the way down to $350 for that modem, but the price is most definitely not low. And it is way overspecced for the requirement. And you can match that performance for a lot less or get a lot more functionality for similar price.

In short, be careful with the low qualification of a price unless the price really is low compared to similar products.
