#18510 - RE: @rusta how we do this .... |
checkout ATmel site for RFID tags
part numbers T5551, T5550, AT88RF001 etc., I read in the following in their literature : "The AT24RF08C has been shipping in all IBM commercial PCs for more than 2 years and is an open industry standard. Third party support systems permit the chip to work seamlessly with existing employee access control systems. It is implemented as a dual-port, 8K EEPROM, with a serial port for the system and an RFID port for external access. " This should indicate that these parts can be confidently integrated and made into WORKING products. But I have not found teh answer for the following: 1. These RF ICs have to be packaged into something like a credit card which the user can carry around. Is there any supplier who provides such ready- made cards? 2.Will RF interference affect the performance of my 8051 or vice versa? 3. Has anybody done this earlier?(integrating RFID with 8051 in a small double sided PCB) 4. What is the "open Industry Standard" quoted above? Is there any RF forum which answers these questions? Since I am interested in using RFID tags along with 8051, answers to these questions will be very helpful Thankx K.Ganeshan |
