#19435 - RE: EMP-20 review |
A programmer we once contracted showed us his Needham's EMP-20 a few years ago, and told us he paid like $400 for it through Digi-Key.
Now I have one, and our service department has two of them! We have bought various programmers from 4 other manufacturers over the years, and none comes close to the value of the EMP-20. The best part is the Macro feature (once you figure it out - and don't lose the manual for it!) I can create an INI file for the macros and give it to the service guys. Now they hold down the ALT key and have a list of the devices they have to program, all by hitting a single key. The down side is that downloading the latest driver causes device #167 to become #169. You have to update the macro file every time. |
