#19596 - RE: Using Timer 2 as Serial port baud rate? |
Hi,
I'm not using the AD2000 assembler, but thanks anyway. I have another question though - in the data sheet for the OKI 80C154 it says that when using Timer 2 as a baud rate generator that the baud rate is as follows: Baud = Xtal * (1/(65536 - DRCAP2)) * (1/16) but most other sources seem to say that it is Baud = Xtal * (1/(65536 - DRCAP2)) * (1/32) I'm inclined to believe the data sheet, but would like verification before I burn another EPROM (I don't yet have an eraser :( ). Also, do the reload values need to exactly match the baud rate? or is a small error ok? Cheers for any help, George Ricketts |
