Hi,

The FAQ's aren't really that helpful as they don't specifically talk about Timer 2, but thanks anyway.
I'm pretty sure the SMOD bit doesn't affect the Baud rate when using Timer 2 (that's what it says in the Data sheet anyway).

I think I'll ust end up selecting a baud rate using the "1/16" formula that will also give me an appropriate baud rate when divided by 2.
